Why did Jason go to the post office?
(Tom comes into the tribal store.)
Tom: Hi, Jason! I'm going to the post office. Can I mail anything for you?
Jason: No thanks. I already went. I had to pick up a package.
Tom: A package?
Jason: Yes. My mom sent me a package for Chinese New Year.
Tom: When is Chinese New Year?
Jason: It's tomorrow.
Tom: What did she send you?
Jason: I don't know. I didn't open the package.
Tom: You can open it now!
(Dana comes in.)
Dana: Hi, Jason! Happy Chinese New Year!
Jason: You know about Chinese New Year?
Dana: Yes! I lived in China for a year when I was in university.
Jason: That's great. Can I help you?
Dana: No, I'm just looking. What are you doing?
Tom: He's going to open his package.
Dana: Who's it from?
Jason: My mom.
Dana: Did she send you some Chinese New Year treats?
Jason: I think so.
Dana: Are you going to open it now?
Jason: No. I'll wait until later.
Tom: Oh . . .
Dana: So, Jason, what are you doing for Chinese New Year?
Jason: Some of my relatives are coming to my aunt's house tonight. My aunt is preparing a big dinner.
Dana: Is she cooking lots of traditional foods?
Jason: Of course!
